ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS
TO TASK 6.5: Financing the costs of research conducted by doctoral candidate at the Doctoral School of the University of Silesia.
As part of the project „jUŚt transition – Potencjał Uniwersytetu Śląskiego podstawą Sprawiedliwej Transformacji regionu” („JUŚt transition – The potential of the University of Silesia as the basis for the Just Transition of the region”).
The project coordinator announces a call for proposals for the task: Financing the costs of research conducted by doctoral candidate at the Doctoral School of the University of Silesia.
Description of the activity for which funding can be applied for
Conducting scientific research related to the preparation of a doctoral thesis.
Funding will cover costs related to the implementation of a single research task included in the doctoral candidate’s Individual Research Plan.
Examples of costs related to the implementation of a research task: purchase of literature unavailable in libraries, interlibrary loan service, purchase of access to databases, purchase of access to diagnostic surveys, obtaining consent from the bioethics committee to conduct research, purchase of material for conducting an experiment, ordering analyses, purchase of materials for consumption (for research equipment, for the laboratory).
The amount of financing and the method of conducting the purchase will be determined in accordance with the regulations in force at the University of Silesia in Katowice, based on the presented cost estimate.
The project coordinator reserves the right to decide on the final amount of financing, including the length of the financed mobility. The maximum amount of funding is PLN 5,000.
THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 7.01.2025 TO 28.02.2025

The subsidy can be used by a person who meets all of the following requirements:
- He/She has the status of a PhD candidate at the University of Silesia in Katowice,
- He/She conducts research to support the transformation process, in particular with the directions of the green and digital economy,
- Within the set deadline, hesh will hand over in person, by traditional mail or intra-university mail to the Project Office (Rector’s Office Building, Bankowa 12, room 2.7) a set of original documents (incomplete documents will not be considered).

Recruitment will take place on the basis of the Regulations of recruitment and participation in the project „U.S. transition – The potential of the University of Silesia as the basis for the Just Transition of the region” – Ordinance No. 95/2024 of the Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice of 19 June 2024.
In the case when the same number of point will be given, the order of applications is decisive.
