6.8 Funding for participation in conferences abroad for doctoral students
at the International Environmental Doctoral School at the Centre for Polar Studies (IEDS)
Maximum amount of activity funding: PLN 5000
Description: Funding for participation of PhD student(s) in conferences abroad.
Call for proposals until 20 January 2025.
The activity reported in the competition should take place until 31 December 2025

NOTE: Appendixes No. 3 and 11 (Załącznik nr 3 and Załącznik nr 11) must be confirmed at the Doctoral School.
The subsidy can be used by a person who meets all of the following requirements:
- He/She has the status of a PhD candidate at the University of Silesia in Katowice,
- He/SHe conducts research to support the transformation process, in particular with the directions of the green and digital economy,
- Within the set deadline, he/she will hand over in person, by traditional mail or intra-university mail to the Project Office (Rector’s Office Buliding, Bankowa 12, room 2.7) a set of original documents (incomplete documents will not be considered).
NOTE: One may become a beneficiary of only one of the activities related to mobility of doctoral students (Tasks 6.3, 6.4, 6.8).
Recruitment will take place on the basis of the Regulations of recruitment and participation in the project „U.S. transition – The potential of the University of Silesia as the basis for the Just Transition of the region” – Ordinance No. 95/2024 of the Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice of 19 June 2024.
In the case when the same number of point will be given, the order of applications is decisive.
