ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS

6.4 Funding for individual research activities – costs for travel abroad (Outside Europe) related to the implementation of Individual Research Plans at the International Environmental Doctoral School at the Centre for Polar Studies (IEDS).

Maximum amount of activity funding: PLN 12 000

Description: Individual research activities involving short trips abroad (outside Europe) for the purpose of preparing a PhD thesis, including queries, consultations, use of laboratories, field research.

Application deadline is June 11, 2026.

The activity reported in the competition bust take place by September 30, 2026.

All attachments are intended for traditional (paper) completion and in case of problems with completing them/special needs, please come to the Project Office – room 2.7, 2nd floor, ul. Bankowa 12, 40-007 Katowice, where you can get assistance in completing them. In case of qualification, please also report to the Project Office – room 2.7, 2nd floor, ul. The subsidy can be used by a person who meets all of the following requirements:

• He/She has the status of a PhD candidate at the University of Silesia in Katowice,
• He/SHe conducts research to support the transformation process, in particular with the directions of the green and digital economy,
• Within the set deadline, he/she will hand over in person, by traditional mail or intra-university mail to the Project Office (Rector’s Office Buliding, Bankowa 12, room 2.7) a set of original documents (incomplete documents will not be considered).

Recruitment will take place on the basis of the Regulations of recruitment and participation in the project  Regulaminu rekrutacji i uczestnictwa w projekcie „jUŚt transition – Potencjał Uniwersytetu Śląskiego podstawą Sprawiedliwej Transformacji regionu” – zarządzenie nr 143/2025 Rektora Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach z dniach 14 sierpnia 2025 roku
